International Women’s Day

I am going down to London to join in with the Million Women Rise March. I feel I need to know that many women are protesting against violence against women and girls.

I go with my heart hoping that the world-wide violence against prostituted women and girls is made central in the march. Not made invisible by those who choose to say it is “empowering” or “liberating” for women.

I go with my heart holding all the prostituted women and girls, I known or I never meet, who are no longer here to mark International Women’s Day.

I go with my heart screaming that the sex trade is an abuse of everything that matters to being a full woman or girl. Without full safety, existence can be pointless.

I do not often go on marches, coz I find they tend to trigger my PTSD.

But I want to be with women who say no to violence to women and girls.

I hope they say no to violence to all women and girls, including prostituted women and girls.
