Sub-Human

Sub-human that is an uncomfortable word, a word that you would do anything to avoid.

Sub-human is what the vast majority of the prostituted class are made. That sounds harsh, that is harsh.

The invention of the prostituted class was not a flux, was no mistake. It was invention that used slavery, capture of women and girls in times of disasters or wars, used that women are kept poor, used racism, used any and all oppression to create the prostituted class.

It was an invention of a class of mainly women and girls that it would be fine to make sub-human.

After all, there is nothing natural or human about what the prostituted are meant to do.

The purpose is to serve men on any and all the hate-fuelled “sex” fantasies.

It is not to be human and have communication. To be a prostitute, the woman and girl must be obedient and usually submissive. If she is allowed to have some voice or a portion of control – it is always inside the rules of the punter or profiteer.

Her voice, her views and her essence is made nothing – all she is is what the men that buy and sell her choose to make her.

That is being made sub-human.

That is why is not about whether the punters or profiteers make the choice to use violence or not. It is about that the prostituted are owned, controlled and made invisible outside the male gaze.

That is being made sub-human.

In that environment – the whole structure of the sex trade is keeping the prostitute in danger – for it is built on allowing hate and violence to be its norm. So even when the punter is “gentle” – there is the constant threat of violence from him or the next punter.

But when classed as a prostitute, this is just the risks of the “job”.

Or as is ingrained into the woman or girl – it is her role, she is not like “real” women or girls – she “enjoys” it, wants to have sex with men who don’t communicate, she does not mind violent sex, she will not be rude to men just serve them. She was made that way.

That is to be sub-human.

But the worse is not the sex trade – it is clear that most of the sex trade proiteers and punters are bastards. It is living in a society that condones the sex trade.

A society that enforces every second of every day that the prostituted class are sub-humans.

It is beliefs and expressions such as –

Well, at least it better than having an affair.

We need porn and prostitution to stop men raping.

No-one would do it unless they wanted to, no-one forces them to do it.

What about the ugly, lonely, disabled, bad at communicating men – without porn and prostitution, what would they do?

Well, if we keep it indoors, make it regulated, clean it up and say it is women-friendly – that’s ok then.

That it must be fun – because I say it so it must be true.

That the sex trade has always been with us – so why even think about fighting it.

And endless other excuses that to do nothing to tackle the sex trade.

No, most of society condones the sex trade because it believe men should have the right to porn and prostitution as some god-given entitlement.

So we must make the prostituted sub-humans – coz then it won’t matter how much destruction is done to them – as long as that damage doesn’t spread out into the “real world”.

By making the prostituted class sub-humans – we are saying we will framed any violence as just fantasy, a games with rules others don’t understand, a hidden world and the worse just framed it as her work.

When you make the choice to viewed the prostituted class as sub-humans – you are making the choice to let the punters and profiteers off the hook. It become just a business – with a few bad things happenings – but that is dealt with in-house.

Make the prostituted class sub-human, and you are saying she just has to accept the violence as her norm.

I will not let society off the hook for condemning the prostituted class to many centuries of sexual torturing and genocide.

We were made sub-humans – and now you refuse to see that reality.

Until we are given back some of our humanity by punishing in a serious way the punters and profiteers.

Given back our humanity by having our voice fore-fronted in the abolitionist movement.

Given back our humanity by acknowledging we were never and will be human shields for male violence to “real” women and girls.

Given back our humanity by never framing as a labour issue – but as an issue of destruction of our human rights.

Until then, we will continued to be framed as sub-humans.

  2. Rebecca, I’m sorry about all the back-and-forth you’ve been experiencing at a group I thought was supposed to be important. Exited women really should be the *leaders* of the movement, with their voices honored and respected the most.

I heard something really disturbing from a recording of an anti-prostitution conference. Since the Swedish model has gone into place, and the number of men making sexual transactions has gone down, the percentage of rapes has increased. So, when men say, “I would rape a woman if I didn’t go out and buy one,” well, there may well be truth in that. But the point is, there shouldn’t be a *class* of women that exist to have that rape carried out on them. Non-prostituted women are not the enemy, but do benefit from this.
